Sicarya Seville or outside of drag known as Adonias Arevalo, is the National Director for Poder Latinx, a political non profit organization based out of Washington DC focused in transforming the electoral climate in the US. Adonias is a queer immigrant who came to the US when he was 13 after losing his dad to gang violence. He grew up in Houston, TX and started activism and organizing in 2009 with the immigrant rights movement, volunteering with local non profit organizations in Houston, TX and leading mobilizations to Congress for the Dream Act fight in 2010 as a member of the National Leadership Committee of United We Dream.

Adonias is a DACA recipient and has spent many years volunteering for social and racial equity campaigns and carries more than 11 years of experience in community organizing, philanthropy, voter engagement and policy. From working in the Texas Legislature to community development efforts and leading national policy immigration efforts, Adonias has carried multiple civic engagement campaigns in more than 7 states. In 2020, Adonias “Sicarya'' in Partnership with ArizonaDrag.Com launched the Drag Voter Squad, featuring Arizona drag artists in a voter engagement camping. This effort mobilized Adonia's massive voter engagement program that registered 35K people to vote and reached almost 1 million voters in Maricopa County.

Adonias is also known as “Sicarya” - a drag entertainer who was born in 2019, winning Miss Gay Queen of the Desert America, placing 1st alternate for Miss Gay Arizona America and representing the state at Miss Gay America. Sicarya, believes that drag is a form of organizing and a tool to further the change we need in our communities. Sicarya, has successfully been able to merge the art of drag to the moment people of color, trans and queer communities are currently facing. Both of their identities are important to the work they do everyday.

Adonias graduated from University of Houston 15’ with a Bachelor Degree in Political Science and Arts. He is a recipient of multiple awards such as: Hometown Hero Award by the City of Houston and the NFL Foundation in 2012, Heart of Gold Award by the Houston Endowment Foundation in 2013, Halliburton Research Participation Grant in 2013, National LGBTQ Task Force 2014, Instituto Latino 2016, Phoenix Hispanic Leadership Institute in 2018, awarded the Virginia G. Piper Foundation scholarship to attend the Knowledge Exchange for Resilience fellowship in ASU in 2019, Mayor Phil Gordon Spirit Award by Phoenix Pride and Award of Excellence by ArizonaDrag.Com -

Sicarya is the new Miss Gay Arizona America 2021 and will represent Arizona at Miss Gay America in January 2022. She knows how to excite a crowd and we are so excited to have her in October's show!
